The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office Legal Process Division consists of the Warrant Squad, Civil Process Section and Records Section. They are also responsible for maintaining domestic violence orders, the issuance of Handgun purchase permits, concealed carry permits and maintains the county’s sex offender registry.

Captain K. L. Whitesell serves as the commander of the Legal Process Division.
