Sheriff BJ Barnes with the Guilford County Sheriff's Office reports that thru combined efforts of the Guilford County Dive Team, Guilford Association of Scuba Personnel(GASP) and Triad Bloodhounds, have located the body of Phillip Matthew Thomas who had been reported as missing earlier today.

Shortly before 1300 hours today the body of Phillip Matthew Thomas was recovered from the pond at 6103 Burlington Rd where he had been  fishing.

Mr Thomas was the apparent victim of a drowning.

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for Phillip Matthew Thomas. On June 21, 2010 around 0300 hours, Phillip Matthew Thomas was reported missing.

Phillip Matthew Thomas is described as a 65 year old, black male, 5'11", 220 LBS. Phillip Thomas was last seen when he went fishing on Sunday, June 20 at approximately 6:00 pm at 6103 Burlington Rd. His boat was still in the area,

Mr Thomas was last seen wearing Khaki pants and a gray t-shirt.
