Arrest made in Jamestown Bank Robbery
Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that on June 29, 2012 Sheriff’s Deputies made an arrest in connection with the robbery that occurred on May 25, 2012 at Newbridge Bank located at 102 East Main Street, Jamestown, North Carolina.
Sheriff’s Deputies located Richard Umstead Slade, B/M, D.O.B. 12/10/1974, of Gibsonville, North Carolina at a hotel in Greensboro early Friday morning. Mr. Slade was arrested without incident and charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is currently being held at the Guilford County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
