Robbery suspect arrested in South Carolina

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports a second suspect, Orlando Jones, b/m, DOB 9/6/1971, AKA “Heavy”, who was involved in the bank robbery that occurred on January 14, 2013 at the Bank of America in Pleasant Garden, NC, was arrested earlier this morning at the Country Hearth Inn located in Columbia, SC.

Missing person from High Point

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a missing person. Detectives are looking for Dorien Daymon Jackson, black male, date of birth 06/08/94, 5’09, 130 lbs, brown eyes, and black hair. Mr. Jackson left from 1129 Tangle Lane in High Point on 1/10/2013. Mr. Jackson did not have a vehicle and is possibly frequenting the Five Points area in High Point.

Shooting Death, Ardsley Ct, Greensboro

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that on January 19, 2013 at 3:28am the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting at 4000 Ardsley Court, Greensboro, North Carolina. Upon arrival, Sheriff Deputies found Matthew Obrian Norris, w/m, D.O.B. 05/01/1984, of 902 Fairway Drive, High Point, North Carolina had sustained multiple gun shot wounds. Mr. Norris was transported to Cone Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Vehicle Arson's in Stokesdale

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting Arson investigations of two vehicle fires which occurred in the Stokesdale area between January 9th and January 11th, 2013.

Wanted: Pleasant Garden Bank robber.

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports that the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office requests the public’s assistance in locating Orlando Jones, B/M, DOB 09-06-1971 who is wanted for Robbery with a Firearm, 2 counts of 2nd Degree Kidnapping, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Possession of Firearm by Felon. Jones was identified as the second suspect in the robbery of the Bank of America located at 4615 Pleasant Garden Rd on January 14, 2013. Jones should be considered armed and dangerous.

Missing person found dead

Sheriff BJ Barnes reports the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office responded to 3700 Autumn Forest Dr. in Browns Summit to investigate the death of Odilion Rodriguez-Lazcano, white male found near the waste water treatment facility.
